Wow… I know I’m still winding down from our Friday and Saturday performances of, “The Lorax.” It’s hard for folks who aren’t a part of our SPAE community to believe just what a group of 5th-8th graders, 10 high school counselors, three directors, and armfuls of amazing other community members who lend their expertise, art, love, and support can do in just two short weeks. After our Friday morning dress rehearsal, there is a shift at SPAE. The shift is when we hand the performance over to the campers and say, “Now this is yours, make of it what you will.” And they never cease to amaze us. They can bring a song, a dance, a character, dialogue… a story to life, like no other group I’ve worked with. It’s hard to put a sufficient “Good Bye” into words, so instead, we’ll say-
